Exclamation Can't find CIC Android Head Unit for sale

I attempted to buy an Android Head Unit from Andream and after they took out the funds I got an email the next day saying they only use Paypal for there Transactions (Which that is who I went through) and that they were refunding my $419.00 for the Head Unit... I hope I didn't get scammed... I am honestly just looking for something that has Bluetooth Connectivity for listening to music.

I have had the Tunai Firefly adapter and now it disconnects all the damn time and it is getting annoying. Can anybody point me in the right direction? I have a 2011 E90 335i N55 and it has CIC... Any help would be greatly appreciated.. And I have searched the forums but nothing helped...

TIA,

Tagzz

I got my unit from andream. They were super responsive and addressed all my questions. I would recommend them.

I bought one from Andream but they refunded my money because of something with Pay Pal, I ended up ordering one from Avin and it should arrive today, But all the install videos are of people going from CCC to CIC, I don't know if I have to take my Navigation Unit out or if I can simply just swap out the Headunit and not have to worry about anything else... Do you guys know if it is simple Plug and Play for CIC because I am have CIC already?

You cannot or it is almost impossible to put a double din unit in an existing
CCC/CIC idrive system. There are android units that piggyback off idrive
but you must have working idrive to install these.

There are thread evaluating this type of stuff on the stereo sub forum.
Go there and put android in the search box.

ytube is your friend , I guess.

The Navigation Unit is the Head Unit.

Most of these just swap out the screen and they should have installation instructions.
The Chinese Units sometimes have little or no instructions.

I'm not installing Double Din lol, I'm simply taking out my factory Head Unit and replacing it with a new one... I am CIC, Not going from CCC to CIC, I am CIC.... My question was "Do I need to take the navigation unit (CD Player/DVD Player) out to hook up the new Head Unit... Youtube is my friend, But there are ZERO videos of people just swapping out there CIC Unit with another CIC Unit

https://avinusa.com/8-8-multimedia-n...1-e92-e93.html

This is what I am swapping out, Isn't this the head unit?

Thank you, I'm sorry if I confused you. I watched a video on youtube of a guy going from CCC to CIC and he took out the DVD/CD Player and said that was the navigation unit and he had to use a cable to split there to run his GPS etc. That is where I got confused from

Most of these companies use the same Chinese boxes. Watch the install video for this one. Running the microphone like they do is optional:

He's not using any kind of MMI. It's a complete screen replacement. It seems few here actually understand what he's doing. OP, my understanding is you pretty much only swap out the unit. There may be some wiring required but from what i've seen the provided instructions are pretty good.

True, however the MMI retains idrive controller function which personally i'd rather have, my screen seems to be good enough quality as is + the anti-glare works great.

I'd take the MMI anyday, my opinion is the majority of those android screens are garbage.

"I am honestly just looking for something that has Bluetooth Connectivity for listening to music" - why then go with a finicky screen replacement when you can accomplish this either with an MMI box, or a Combox, and at a lower cost? The Combox gets you just that, BT audio streaming for music. The MMI gets you that, also, while adding Apple AirPlay and Android Auto and the option to add a backup camera...features that are very welcome to have these days. There are several MMI options all around the $250 ballpark.
