E92 Alpine HIFI

I have a E92 with the alpine HIFI upgrade, was working great until recently and when you place the fader to the right it seems the right subwoofer isn’t working, so that’s the first problem, and secondly, my left tweeter occasionally cuts out, very rarely and when it does it only lasts a few seconds. Took it into to a local audio shop near me today who confirmed there was no problem with the tweet or the wiring, but said the drivers side sub under the seat was dead pretty much, however, when I got to the shop they had changed there mind and told me it was the amp on the way out, I played around with it today and can’t see any problems with the amp, just the subwoofer not working. Any help with this would be great, I think they may have got funny because I said I would replace the sub myself, but not sure if this would fix the tweeter problem!! so after I told them I would do the sub myself they back tracked and said actually we think it’s the amp which we can replace for ‘x’ amount.

The alpine upgrade is not actually a Hi Fi upgrade.
It doesn't upgrade the underseats speakers although it does
add power to them.
Swapping the speakers around might help you isolate the problem.

Right I see, it seems to only that sub under the drivers side, and also the tweeter very rarely cutting out! Do you think order new parts, or switching the wires to see if the sub is actually ‘dead’

Swap the left and right connections at the amp
for the speaker outs,
and it will tell you if its and amp or speaker problem.

I think you would have to make wiring extensions to electrically
swap the sides unless you can do it at the amp. The stock 6.5 underseats
are glued in to there pods.
