R32GOJIRA Intro and his 335i
Greetings Peeps.
Some of you may have become aware that i have been active on this forum over the last few months and have been sticking my nose into a few threads. So i thought it would be a good time to officially introduce myself to the group. My name is Damien and a few months ago I took ownership of a 2008 E93 335i N54 DCT M-sport Convertible. 82xxx km. White with red lether and a set of 19" CSL wheels. I have always been a fan of BMWs and vowed that one day i would own a convertible one, but i was always worried about owning a soft top. But when the hard top was released I just had to have one and made it my mission to own one one day. This was the result: |

So being the owner of a highly modified R32 GTR, it was inevitable that the mod bug was going to bite.
The only difference this time was I started off with something small. I ordered a set of gloss black grilles with metallic painted "M" stripes from JB Speed. They look the goods. |

I agree, the wood trim needs to go, i wana get a carbon trim set for it. Wouldn't mind the power levels to be somewhere around 350kw at the rear. So there will be mods |

I drove the car up from Wollongong where i live to visit Advan and BMR to discuss getting the car serviced and checked over closely.
When i got there i was surprised to find out they were having a dyno day on with some very nice cars in attendance (didnt get pics sorry). While i was there Stuart from BMR chucked some of his angel eyes in for me. |

The brakes rotors had a fair bit of wear and the rear drivers side had a squeak so i decided to replace all four sides with slotted DBA 4000 T3 rotors and Bendix Heavy Duty pads at the front and Bendix Ultimates at rear.
For some reason Bendix dont make the Ultimates for the front, which i thought was a bit wierd. |

Unfortunately after changing the brakes i was still getting a squeak coming from the rear drivers side brake.
So i decided to take it up to Pete at Advan and get him to look over the car and give it a service at the same time. Bad news: Small oil leak from drivers side cam cover (will order very soon) Small leak from DCT oil pan (might look at getting the pan like Ink has just installed) Reason for squeaky rear drivers side brake is a bent wheel hub, has about 20 thou runout (the rear bearings were changed just before i bought the car, I suspect whoever did the work bent the flange during installation, have ordered a replacement hub, bearing and nut) Good news: Car is in good nic Already has 3" catless down pipes (not sure of brand) Already has a JB4 (winning!!!) Already has golf tee mod done |

With this post I am up to date on what has been done so far.
Courtesy of the gentleman up in QLD wrecking the E92 M3 coupe, i organised a few early chrissy presents for the bmw which have turned up and are awaiting installation. An M3 DCT cluster. A complete M3 DCT steering wheel. An M3 engine cowl setup. Original M3 suspension arms and sway bars. All of these items are mint and have barely any wear or marks on them at all |

Welcome Damien,
Great colour choice and get up! The M3 bits you've got are a score also! |
