New Wheels and Tires - Thank you ECS!

Hi All,

I don't ever post on forums, but I thought I would share my latest addition to my vehicle.

These are 18" Alzor 030 with a staggered 18x8 and 18x9 setup. I wrapped them in Federal RS-RRs with 225/40/18 in front with 265/35/18 in rears!!

These are A LOT better than the stock 17x7.5 with 225/45/17 all around. I had all seasons and I was spinning my tires and having awful times at the track. I can't wait to give this a whirl once I go back.

I was afraid 18s wouldn't look good, and I was struggling to find any similar photos of 18s on this car, but I don't regret it! I would love to of had the 19s, but I couldn't find a 30 series tire that would offer the traction without destroying my bank (i.e. R888). Hope these photos help anyone out with determining what they want to purchase.

BMW e90 N55 - Lowered on H&R Race Springs. I did hit a bump yesterday outside my house and heard it rub a little, but that is all after driving for an hour. This is not a DD.

Hope I posted in the right place!

Wow, looks great. These don't weigh too much either.
Did the rub occur in the front or rear??

Just depends on the taste. I wanted to go with a black/red theme for the vehicle

I honestly couldn't pinpoint it... I'm still a newbie when it comes to wheels. It almost sounded like the rear right, when making a right turn through a dip in the neighborhood. I'll have to play with it more to see, but it wasn't bad at all. I was going 80MPH on the highway with no issues and hit minor dips.

How loud are those RS-RR? Been debating picking up a set for the track.

Loud... They have a slight hum to them. I have a muffler delete, so the wheels don't bother me. But if I didn't have the exhaust I could imagine myself irritated. Tracking fine, DD no.

They do grip though! The car is making some great power that my all seasons would spin at... Now it grips at any speed.

I saw they had a sale last week on these wheel for $350-$450! I just went with these because I've never purchased aftermarket wheels and I wanted to avoid spending excessive $$$. I don't do hardcore tracking of the car and it's a weekend fun car to drive around, so I wasn't after an extremely light weight wheel, just something to hold my sticky tires that are better than the 17" run-flats.

The wheels weigh the same as the OEM and same material, just more asthetically pleasing and wider/bigger. That's what I was after. I managed to throw on 4 new Federal RS RR, TPMS, and the wheels, and TPMS on all 4 plus an install for 1250 or around that...
