Can I use 225/50/17 Snow Tires for E90 328xi?

I found a set of 225/50/17s on craigslist for a very good price. Would it be OK to run them on my stock wheels for the winter?

Thanks

They're a bit larger than OEM size; your speedo will be affected so be sure to use a gps to check how fast you're going and remember the correction.
