the N54 previous engine has been proven - there's solid
performance mods for that engine.
with the N55, it's almost there (peak'd at its potential performance
minus a turbo upgrade -which is anticipated)
N55 going through it's growing stages.

Sometimes long cranks, some audible body creaking when driving slowly. Stage 2 activates DTC when starting engine.
Overall, no problems

nevermind on the body creaking, it was the windows. I lowered them a bit and the problem stopped.

Anybody getting long cranks?

I'm at 14,000 miles and sometimes no long cranks, but will go a period of a few days with long cranking every time I let the car sit for more than an hour.

sometimes i dont think its a big deal. i have weird surges on idle tho

Come to think of it, I haven't had a long crank..in a month. I used to get them every 2-3 days. Maybe the weather has something to do with it?

Seems like it, I notice it changing with whether. Doesn't look like its abnormal for our cars.

2011 E90 M-sport, 6MT, Alpine White, Black, Glacier trim, premium, heated seats, HK, Ipod, PPK, clear bra, Zaino Z-2 + Z-8.

Built 5/11 in Regensburg factory, picked up at BMW Welt 5/11, picked up at Global Imports in ATL 6/11, about 5k miles as of today. No problems, installed PPK a few months ago, changed oil at 1250 miles and will do again this Friday (along with diff and trans). I plan on keeping this one around for 10+ years, as I kept my last DD for 15 years. Fantastic car that I'm sorry to say has caused me to neglect driving my Elise as often as I should.

That mineral white is beautiful.. I was debating Btwn that and the alpine.. Got the alpine but it still hasn't gone into production. Dec 5th so I still have the option to change. What do u guys think? It's an m-sport e92 with coral red.

No, You're entitled to 1 yearly oil change, and/or an oil change when the car says so.

Often times they'll change the oil and not reset the button so you get 2 oil changes.

For instance I pay for an oil change every 7,500 miles. It works out that I pay for 1 out of 3 oil changes due to that policy.
