funny story (deer=FTL)
very strange incident happened today. my parents house is fully gated in. and there are 2 driveways with gates on them. seems that one of the gates was left open over night. deers tend to find there way in if the gate is left open. so i woke up to walk my dog this morning and as soon as i get outside there was a freaking family of deers (at least 6) just chillen in my backyard. my dog goes right after them. they scatter and dont know where to go. a couple of them slam into the fence trying to get out. my dog manages to lead them out the front gate. but there was still one in the backyard. it was hurt real bad. im guessing it tried to jump the chain link fence and got its leg stuck in it. it couldnt even get up. i tired to lead it out but it couldnt even move (poor deer) so i called the animal people and 2 cops show up at my house! lol. one lady cop comes out and asks me if there are any small children in the house. i said no and she whips out the 9MM lol she asked me to step back. it took 3 rounds to get that thing down. i took some pics and may upload them later. the cops told me the "deer guy" will come and pick it up later. i thought it was an eventful after christmas morning.

Is your parents house in the countryside? It is illegal to discharge a firearm in a residential area. Just pointing it out...
Sounds like you had an interesting morning none the less.

Someone explain to me why when we break a leg we go to the hospital and when an animal break a leg we put a bullet between its eyes and say you won't suffer anymore now as if there is nothing else we could have done. I'm no animal rights activist but PETA seems to employ the same plan of kill off all the sick/injured animals even though they aim for total animal liberation.

Please, it is our fault why deer have no place to go and the natural balance of the food chain is messed up. Humans are the ones that cause these problems not the deer.
We have to share the Earth. No destroying natural habitat so we humans can live comfortably while the other wildlife gets screwed. |
