Another new car in the garage: Mercedes E550

Well, just a few days after I got my 335iS, my mom shows me up and gets delivery of her new 2012 Mercedes E550. Car was completely loaded... even AMG package (and my mom does NOT drive fast at all). I must say, it is a beautiful car, but MSRP was over 70k, and I'm not sure if an E class is worth that. (Although, having been driven in an S class and now in the E class... I must say I can barely feel a difference! - the E has the 'hugging' seats, massaging seats, heated/cooled, drives like a boat - super comfortable, panoramic sunroofs and a shade for the back rear window etc etc)

My dad is actually up for a new car soon too (he has an 09 SL550 now)... and I have NO idea what he is going to get, can't wait to find out, haha.

Yah, I'm trying to resize them. I resized them in photobucket after I uploaded them... and they are not appearing smaller when I post the IMG links...

Flat white I think. (Mercedes calls it Arctic White). My mom actually wanted an E550 coupe in matte white, but when she saw my coupe she knew she needed a sedan (and couldn't get the matte white).

And I agree on the reflectors. I don't think my mom cars, but I'm definitely getting rid of them on my car.

I'm not sure. Again, it's my mom's new car. I'll have to ask her! That would be sweet. I know it definitely has a backup camera.

Congrats, I spent two weeks with an e550, awesome car. A little too floaty for my taste even with sport suspension activated, but very quick. Distronic is awesome, I was extremely nervous using it at first... Dynamic seats, love... At every turn your car hugs you.

As for NVAP, basically useless, you have to look over to command... Neat for passengers though...

Thanks for the comments. Ill try to get a walk-around (interior/exterior) and exhaust note clip of the E550 this summer. The interior is REALLY nice. Much more luxurious than my dad's SL550 and even his CLS500 before that.

It's not an AMG. Just the AMG package. She wanted all the options.

I drove it after break in for the first time and when pushed the car is extremely fast! Much quicker than I thought it would be.

yeah those are nice cars. but wow 70k is a lot. might as well pony up another 25k and get a m5. :-)
