Only two types of riders out there... All riders know what I'm talking about.

and yes, 4 wheels are definitely safer than 2. You don't need a statistic to tell you that.

Then again, once you saddle a bike, you know how unforgiving these machines are. That's why gear is so damn important.

Yeah I got you. But I realized no matter how safe of a rider you are there is always some grandma out there that will run you over cuz she didn't see you.

Aint this the truth.

For this exact reason, I got an aftermarket exhaust, and removed the silencer baffles (dB killers) to make sure I'm heard.

There's also a ton of asses on the road. I have a friend in cali who was stuck in rush hour traffic towards LA. He doesn't normally split lanes, but he split lanes to get to the front of the line. He was doing about 25mph, and all of a sudden, he had his left shoulder jerk back. He thought he clipped someone's rearview mirror, so he slowed down, and looked back to see what happened. It seems some c*nt leaned out and tried to punch him. Unfortunately for her, he was wearing a full kangaroo leather - kevlar armored jacket, and she was screaming clenching her hand. She probably broke all of her fingers or her metacarpal. Good job trying to punch a dude off his bike... Karma's a bigger b!tch, and served her right.

Point is, there's always risks associated with anything fun. Hell, even fishing, I've had instances where my friends hooked each other during casts

I rode dirt bikes years ago, but nothing major. I just got my first street bike, a 2006 GSX-R 1000. The thing is a blast to ride and handles amazing. So long as you know your own limitations and don't push it on the street, you'll be fine.

Splitting lanes is legal in California, so I don't get what that dumb bitch was thinking.

I have witnessed 9 motorcycle accidents over 12 years in Los Angeles. Two resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, the rest resulting in injuries 5 of which looked pretty bad. I am never going to have one while in this city. Just too dangerous.

i can't believe ppl have the nerve to punch a biker only because they are splitting lanes, it seems so inhuman. I'm not a rider but every time i see one coming i also move aside and give them room. (also cuz i don't want them to clip my car) they seem to appreciate it and always wave at me. they are probably not used to courteous drivers. lol

I went for a spin in a rally built ford fiesta once. 0-60 in 1.9 seconds.

That is sickeningly fast, especially when you're not the one driving and hairpin turns loom on the horizon.
