Waste of time I reckon considering that we have the 4th cheapest fuel in the world lol. By the way Mobil 98 is cleaner than BP 98 and highly recommend it.. Shell is no.1 for me closely followed by 98 Mobil .

Ahh not that prevalent then. I wish petrol stations did price match/beat like bunnings/officeworks!

http://www.lifehacker.com.au/2014/12...her-than-ever/ I come from a European background and after seeing fuel prices arund 2.5 euros a litre or even higher and come back to $1 a litre in australia, I find it funny when people debate petrol prices in the country. The only reason our fuel prices are higher than say a decade ago is because of the australian dollar being low. If you go back to 2008, we were actually paying around $1.30 reports show. You can aways save more fuel or get apps and so forth to save more money but I don't see at a price level where I consider it expensive to make me lead towards using apps. On the other hand for someone who travels a lot, surely it's going to add up.. In general if we had pricey fuel, the country would not be releasing 7 litre limited hsv models. For high usage obviously these apps would come in handy.. it's like that with anything.. im a medium consumer and you may be a high consumer, but it doesn't mean our fuel prices are expensive if you compare to the world.. my original point was an exaggeration I guess of how cheap our fuel is in the OECD group. Thanks for listening.. Last edited by e36mmm; 05-28-2016 at 07:34 PM.. |

You sure spent a lot of effort typing that post. You could have used that time to save $11 hahaha
All good. As I said multiple times, this is not for everyone. Even though my post was excessively long, it can literally take less than two minutes once you've set it up. Two minutes for $10-$15 is a rate of $300-$450 an hour. Something very valuable I have learnt with my time and money management is that you may not be able to put a proper dollar value on the most precious moments of time, but money sometimes can afford you more of it. I hear you on European fuel prices! It cost me about the same amount in dollars to cross from the bottom of Spain through Italy as it did to cross from Kazahstan all the way to Siberia! |

Nope, I drove from Sydney for the last one and we hit a Kangaroo. The car has been off the road since then awaiting assessment and approval and now I'm just waiting on parts

where does 7/11 get its fuel? Is it Mobil?
I just use the Petrolspy app and find the cheapest BP or 7/11 near me on days early in the week and fill there. |
