Great news Alfred. Discount is good about these kinds of things.

I know! I didn't think it was going to be an easy process. Literally only took one visit to them and everything got taken care of.

I was thinking about ordering aftermarket lugnuts (hopefully I can find ones that are stronger than the stock ones). But, out of curiousity, why do you think I need to replace all lugnuts?

I'm gonna call Ralph Schomp to see if they have them cheaper. Otherwise, I'll just pick them up from Discount Tire.

Schweet deal. I'm sort of disappointed I won't get to see pics of your next course of action: Throwing the wheel through the front window of Discount Tire.

An adjuster from Discount Tire will also come by my house soon to take a look at the car and see if anything else was damaged. If so, they will also take care of the other damaged items!

In the meantime, they will provide me with Nitto 555's to mount on my stock wheels so the car will not be parked in the garage while waiting for the wheel to arrive (even though I told him it wasn't necessary).

I'm glad Discount Tire is not giving me a hard time about this issue!
Great to hear!

Wow, I'm late on this one, glad everything is turning out ok. I agree with express, replace all the lugs and I think it's reasonable that Discount Tire should cover that cost. If those were over tightened, I wonder how the other lugs will come out, hopefully ok vs having to use a screw extractor to get the broken piece out of the hub.

I don't know anything about those wheels, but if they're not hubcentric, get the correct hub rings.

Hey Alfred, glad to hear that everything is working out and Discount Tire is taking care of you!

I agree with Express705 and Matt. Definitely replace all the lugs. Heck, Discount might actually replace them all for you anyway, just to make sure it doesn't happen to any other wheel. Since all the wheels were installed at the same time, and very likely torqued to the same tightness, there's a pretty high likelihood that many if not all of them are over-torqued.

As Matt said, stick to Murray or Discount. I'm a little upset with Schomp right now over some shinanigans they tried to pull on me this morning. Definitely not servicing with Schomp anymore after this latest bit (involving wheels and tires actually).

The hub rings on the wheels are the same as my 189s.

If Discount offers me new lugnuts, I'll take them. Otherwise, I'll just buy them myself. I'm just glad they're taking care of the other parts

Schomp is cheaper than Murray. At least on a couple of things I've purchased. I will check all though

anyway you can talk them into fronting the bill if you have someone you "trust" do the work? Tell them that they already put your life in danger once already.
