Which system did you start with?

Which system did you start with?
As it sounds like something that might happen with
a base system when you disconnect the under seats
it also disconnects the doors I believe.

A sanity check with an ohmeter on the front channel wires
at the amp would tell you if anything is hooked up .

When I plug the factory amp back in, everything is operational.

Best of my knowledge it is the hifi system, though I'm second guessing myself because my amp is a different color (silver) than the OP

It's definitely hifi.

And late apologies for hijacking...I can make my own thread if necessary. Just seemed a good place without cluttering with another thread addressing the same stuff...

Then do an ohmeter check from the back of

Then do an ohmeter check from the back of your new amp.
You should be able to read the speaker resistance if its hooked up.
(at the amp or the labeled speaker connectors)
1)Your wiring is not correct from the new harness
2)Your amp is bad or set up wrong.
3)The Harness is broken or modified.
4)There was a wiring change in the Harness for the new (post 2010)
Hi Fi amp and the pin out is different. (although no one has said anything
about there being a change so far)

I'm an idiot. I don't even want to cop to this.

Sigh.

Staring at the amp scratching my head because all of the RCAs read good on the ohmeter...and I realize I have them plugged into channels 3-6, not 1-4.

Sooooo, the really cool dude who sold me this harness, and promptly sent me a refund as an apology for a faulty harness, is getting his money back, along with a healthy amount of my pride.

lol usually happens to be a simple error. The other day I installed my new SWS subs and didn't think to check pos and negative cause I assumed when I installed my old ones I put the red wire on pos and black on neg and I was wrong. not sure why but for some reason I had it backwards so had to go all the way back in and swap to fix it

By the way that power connection you made

By the way that power connection you made may be overloaded
with combination of whatever was plugged in there and your amp.

Those connectors go in to a fuse array. (fusible link)
You should have a fuse on the hot line from the amp to.
Read the follwing.

I do have a fuse on the amps power supply. I'll grab an o ring and disconnect from that connector as a precaution.

Has anybody else experienced a very loud "white noise?" If that makes sense...obviously the amp receives power whenever the car does (when the door is opened, before the car is started) and sends power to the speakers but with no signal.

The chime and Bluetooth volume are both unbelievably loud, too, at their quietest settings.

Lower the gains on the amp to 0 start with.

Lower the gains on the amp to 0 start with.

Check your ground for low resistance.

Which speakers did you get and how are they distributed.

If you have the 2 ohms stock speaker in the back and something else
in the front there will be and imbalance because the 2 ohm stock spekaers
are running at 100watts and the fronts are running at around 60 to 70
sometimes the only way to balance it is with the Fader.

All stock speakers as of now.

I'll start with the gain at 0 and adjust slowly upwards until I hear that noise, and then back it off slightly? Simple as that?

You pretty much have to run the stocks at 0

You can put a little gain on the underseats.

Ah, okay. The under seats set as is actually sound pretty great...I was questioning whether they actually existed, before.

I'll dial the speakers back. Thanks for the advice!

Even with the gain dialed all the way back, I still have a loud static/interference noise from the speakers when there is no signal (radio turned off, key out of ignition, etc.

The gong is also maddeningly loud.

Scratching my head wondering what is causing this
