FRM Short Circuit Error, Angel Eyes no longer working, reset counter still nothing

So I have these two errors when I diagnose my car:

009CBB (FRM short circuit fault 2)
009CBC (FRM short circuit fault 1)

I've had a couple people attempt to remote code my car to clear the errors/reset counter to no avail.

How do I get rid of these stored codes or have anyone experienced the same?

My angel eyes no longer work I believe due to these codes. Bulbs are ok and were working previously (halogen h8 GP Thunder bulbs). The other reason I know they work is because the angel eyes turn on at startup, then after about 10 seconds or so, they shut off.

Strange.

What FRM do you have? 1, 2 or 3?

Run the job: status_lampen_kurzschluss_counter

In tool32 and see which lamps have a counter NOT equal to zero.

Post results here.

Not sure, most likely FRM 1 as it is a 2007 e91 with adaptive xenon.

Is there any chance we can collaborate and you can try remotely? I have all the stuff, I just don't know how to code.

is this part of the standard tools? I've been looking at getting them installed but it all seems a bit daunting

Correct. It's not difficult though.

The easiest way is if you download standard tools from:

https://www.bimmergeeks.net/downloads

Then download the sp-datens package and unzip to a folder somewhere.

Then use BMW CODING TOOL, to import the sp-date ns into the standard tools.

Install your cable and that's it.

You need to download the E89 package. E89 daten files are for the E9X chassis.
