michelin pss 235 or 245 on 8.5"

Please help

I have square 235 invos but looking for more grip so looking to replace with Michelin pss; everywhere I read pas are supposed to be wider, how much wider are the pss vs invos, can I fit 245s pss on et35 vmr 718s?

Thanks in advance

Subscribed, I'm interested in the answer as well. I have 2011 E92 LCI on OP's same width/offset 19x8.5 et35.

They do in the rear, but no way would a 255 work up front on an E9X without modding the car.

I guess that would depend on the specs of the wheels themselves. Right now I have 245/40/18 Conti DWS on an 18x8.5 ET35 up front (stock non-sport suspension) and the top of the tire comes *really* close to hitting the lower spring perch. I'm almost sure that if I tried fitting the PSS on there in the same size that it would rub.

There are folks running 255/35 on 8.5-9" rim et30-32 without issues on pre-lci stock. Dinan ran 265 front w/mods. Common HPDE set-up is 255 square 17 or 18 rims even on stock cars.

LCI should be able to run 245/35 easily stock with the right rim.

Search and you'll find folks running all these set-ups and details. There is a guy that ran 265 square R-comps last year @ Pocono HPDE on 18" OZ wheels on his '11 e92 with ~2.0 camber in front.

Another thing to consider...get camber plates or M3 arms and you will add more grip than by putting on wider tires. I believe M3 arms can go to -1.3 which is pretty nice and you improve steering feel significantly. Just don't run RFT. This is one of the best mods you can do. If you do this and put on 245 PSS square you will transform the car. Also very cheap to do and the value is tremendous if you like to drive.

That's all you need is the arm? Nothing else is needed to fit it?

M3 arms add camber (grip), improve steering precision and feedback but you don't need them to run 245.
