we've been down this road, and my dyno proved the afe gained 10-11 rwhp. Love BMS, but seriously... this is an afe knock-off and probably (most likely) the same results but at half the cost. With BMS, patience is a virtue.

They are working on long term testing now and also working on production as they expect long term testing to go well. No set ETA for it though but likely early 2012. Price isn't finalized but I'm hearing around $179.

Bottom line

I'd like to see a dyno on a stock car followed by a dyno on a car with only the intake.

Intakes don't add a lot of power on the N55 as the OEM intakes flows pretty well. At the stock boost levels expect 0 hp from any intake. Only better sound. Now as you get boost up from 12-16psi there are small gains to be had. On the order of 5-10hp.

Nothing like that planned. They're working on production now which may take some time, and then will post the release date when they have it.

Definitely going to get this. I bought aFe for the similar design but the stupid silicone coupling they designed wasn't sealing right and was causing a check engine light. This is also looking so much better for dealer visits and much more affordable.

+1

BMS always delivers great parts at very reasonable pricing.

Just an idea... you guys should make a wall extension for the stock intake box so it has a nice seal with the hood. I think that would make it the perfect intake since all you'd have to do is pop off the wall extension and remove one screw. Also it would help keep the intake enclosed similar to the aFe.
