Johnson/Unifund car insurance

Does anyone have auto insurance with Johnson/Unifund ?

i used to, but for my 335i meloche/monnex was cheaper

I am insured with them, I have been with them for about 4 years.

We used them for one year (they gave us a very good deal, possibly just to sign us up) but at renewal we got a massive premium bump - no change in driving records.

Not to mention, it's been a pain to have my representative send the proof of insurance to BMW FS (I got 3 notices from FS that they don't have my insurance on file).

Switched back to Meloche Monnex, very happy - we have no claims though, so I don't know how that part would be.

I was with them for many years. My parents and sister also have insurance with them. They were always very good. Our representative was always attentive and dealt with our claims efficiently and with little hassle. I dont have anything bad to say about them.

However I recently switched to Meloche Monnex due to a significantly lower rate (for UofT alumni) that Johnson/Unifund could not even come close to matching.

My sister has been for years and rates have always been the best. For some, it can be dirt cheap, you just need a perfect record. They aren't part of sites like kanetix so it's worth it to get a quote.

kanetix is a complete ripoff. you can always find lower rates by shopping around.

My parents and I are with them. They are very good. Our representative is always on point. She calls me back when I call and always answers any questions I have. I don't have anything bad to say about them.

I switched tio them yesterday. it was very easy, it took 5 mins.

I've been with them for about 7 years, no problems great service. My wifes car had hit and run, they got it fixed right away. Had this kid back into my BMW at Christmas, his fault of course my agent showed going to go to great lengths to make sure my car was fixed right away and done properly.

I pay 1800 with Bel Air Direct but renew in July, expecting a big increase since I was locked in before the increases were rolled in last fall.
