I remember those days I got my few in ATX. Either just take defensive driving, look for a lawyer to take care of it for like $50-$70, or go to court and appeal (may be lucky that officer doesn't show up; if so, your ticket is dismissed). That's all you can do about it.

You can ask for deferred adjudication - usually 90 days. You pay the fine, but if you don't get any more tickets during the deferred period, it stays off your record. Other than that, you can request Defensive Driving, or go to court. Prosecutors will sometimes reduce the fine or some other disposition. A lot depends on where you were or how far over the limit you were going.

You can ask for Defensive Driving option. You only pay partial amount of your ticket and turn in the Defensive driving completion before certain day and the ticket won't be on your record.

The the online "I drive Safely" course and get the ticket dismissed. Take it when you want, at your own pace.
