Help with diff oil

Hi i have a whining noise from the rear and gets louder with speed.
i have just had 4 new tyres, and checked the bearings and they are fine, i have rear discs, pads and hand break shoes coming this week but to me it seems that the diff could do with an oil change, the issue is a can't seem to see what oil should be used. can anyone shed some light on this??

many thanks
