AE Exhaust/Vanguard Exhaust with AR Catless DPs in NoVA?
Anyone in NoVA have these two setups so I can hear them in person before I pull the trigger?

I have AE w AR catless. I'm trying to make it to the meet on Saturday, but no guarantees. I like the set up, and get lots of positive comments on it!

If you don't make it to the meet on Saturday, are you in the NoVA area and able to meet up some other time? I live in Reston Town Center. If it's not too far or too much to ask, I'd love to meet up and hear it.

AE sounds amazing. You should just get that. If you don't like it, then just "give" it to me :-p.
But enough trolling... I thought there was a video of Chris' car on the Moore's Automotive dyno day but his car sounds so good. I wants it! |

AE sounds really good, like every has stated so far. Vangauard also sounds really good, but is a little more aggressive/louder than the AE.

Vanguard is a LOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT louder and aggressive than the AE, they are in two very different leagues in terms of loudness. The AE would be considered VERY tame in comparison to the Vanguard.

BUMP?! You guys can't all be running stock exhausts?! I heard AE is making a newer system that's even more tame(lame). They're basically just adding adjusting options and making it more quiet. It's also supposed to cost around $2,400.

I have AR coupled with HKS (fully catless) and it sounds really robust at WOT. but very mild at idle and moderate throttle. It has a deep sound. I love how it crackles when i downshift. This and the COBB AP, by a far comparison, has been my favorite mod. |

I will try to make it out to the meet this Wednesday night. Most of the comments in here are correct, though. The AE is louder than stock, but relatively quiet for an aftermarket set up.

Today, the Wednesday meet is at Fair Oaks mall near the old Hechts on the second floor. The Wednesday meet moves around.

I heard AC Schnitzer in person recently and holy shit...I was amazed at how good that sounded.
I haven't heard AE in person but the vanguard is pretty loud. I had V8's before this car so loud doesn't bother me. It doesn't bother me in the cabin except that it rattles other stuff in the car (rear console flap and something in the front). But even that just makes me smile since it's from exhaust.
