Look at the poll. A couple of years back you would never have thought IE would be overtaken by other brands like Google. In fact why not? I never really liked IE lol. I found it really slow whereas Chrome is really quick and just as simple to use (if not easier).

Chrome 80%, IE9 20%. I used Firefox exclusively from 2005 until a month ago when 4.0 was released. Crashed constantly - and how long was it in beta?

IE9 also proved to be a bit unstable. Fortunately there are very few sites I have to visit that require IE to function properly.
For everything else, Chrome works very well and I have not experienced any crashing issues.
