Poor mpg figures HELP!

I recently serviced my e90 320d and my mpg seems to have dropped the car has also started making a strange noise wen u remove your foot from the accelerator like its releasing air from somewhere . Was just wonder if anyone has any idea wat may be causing this . Thanks

check over everything you have done. u may have left a pipe off somewhere

Thanks. I have checked everything and the air box was loose but I tightened it and the problem was still ther
