Hey guy,
Where do you go around here for tires and what tires are you running? I'm looking for summer only tires as i have a spare set of wheels with winters. thanks, |

go with Pilot Super Sports like everyone is saying here, you won't regret it, best tire investment hands down I wouldn't trade my PSS for any other tire! only downside is that their lifetime I think is a little below 30k... running 225/40/18 and 255/35/18
Used to have the PS2 and they were equally as good, they are now just more pricey than PSS |

Im doing the same research for new rubber for my car...
As is the case with many enthusiasts, i hold the opinion of Car and Driver in the highest regard. Read this: http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...omparison-test The folks posting here have echoed their opinion, with Michelin PSS being the absolute benchmark. 1400 bucks for rubber seems crazy when i can get two sets of the Conti Extreme Contact DWs for nearly the same money, and they did very well in the aforementioned test. I think ill give them a shot. I've heard good things about the Hankook V12s, amazing performance / price ratio. Personally, i think the Conti's are the best overall "value", but if you have the dough, you can not beat the PSS's. |

But those Conti DW's are $772 with no rebate hassles.... Anyone on here ever run them and like / dislike? |

Yah i'm also leaning towards the Conti DW's. Hankook has stopped producing the V12's so finding a place with your size in stock might be hard. I've been told that the treadlife of the DW's is like 15k miles or so. Just an FYI for you

I was in the market for Summer tires last year when the PSS were on back order for 6 months. I went with the Bridgestone S-04 Pole Position. Unless you are tracking your car I gurantee you won't notice the difference between any of the max performance tires. I have no complaints at all with mine. With that being said I probably would have got the PSS if they were available just because everyone rates them #1. I went to Hogan Tire in Woburn.

I just got a set of Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 235/40 265/35/18. Unfortunately my new rims backordered until the second week of May so I haven't gotten to try them yet. I have read that they are pretty comparable to PSS for a lot less money.

I've had V12s and PSS'. They are fairly different. Grip is much better with the PSS, even when compared to the PS2s.

fwiw PSS is the only thing that can keep traction for me, even then if they are not warm no traction. If I increase in HP from FBO @ 93 i basically have to go to horrible tread wear tires to hope to hook.
TLDR get PSS.
