2008 335i Door Lock Beep!!!

Hi everyone. I searched around for awhile but I didn't find a thread about this anywhere, so I figured I'd try to make one. I Just purchased my 2008 BMW 335i Sedan a few hours ago. I'm loving it so far, but the one thing that's driving me crazy is I cant seem to find a setting to turn on my door lock beep! I've looked around and I've seen a ton of different answers (Some people say Coding it can fix it, some people say my car doesn't have an alarm installed).
I'm looking for a definitive answer as to why I don't seem to have a setting to change it, and how I can go about fixing it. Thanks!!

As a standard, if you do not have the alarm you will not have a beep. If you have the alarm and CIC you can go to settings, door locks, audible confirmation and turn it on or off.

I know I have the alarm system but I get no beep and I can't check the box in CIC when I go to settings, door locks, audible confirmation and turn it on or off. Is there a module or fuse that might be bad which keeps it from working,

The alarm system in our cars consists of 3 components. The hood switch, the ultrasonic module, and the siren. You need to check if your car has any of these components installed before assuming anything.

I have the same problem. So these cars didn't come with an alarm system as standard equipment? Seems odd...

If we don't have the alarm, is there no hope of getting an audible lock/unlock confirmation?

Up to 03/09 they came prewired, which means you just had to buy the components and have them installed.

You can source the individual parts separately. I did it that way and got everything for around $100, installed everything, and then had the car coded.
