Having helped someone (for hours) who tried the cheap option (and it never did work) seriously consider the one-stop-electronics cable. Yes its $100, but it works. You can obviously do what you want. Im just trying to save you time.

Im not sure if anyone has asked this yet, but you guys seem like you'd have it (238 pages later haha). Im resetting a couple of modules in my e90 and there are a couple of weird modules that dont match up in the Winkfp database. I just updated my CAS and ECU and FINALLLYYYY fired up my 325i for the first time in about 4 months. Runs a little rough though .
Modules that have (yyyyy) in the FG-Nummer:
LDM/ICM + TEL/MULF + MOSTGW + MASK/CCC
How do i know which one to update with what ECU family?
Thanks guys.

Can someone recommend a WORKING (not cheap) cable from EBAY.
Live in new zealand so ebay is easiest to buy from overseas.

Or can someone link to a website with worldwide shipping.

Seriously though the cable purchase link should be part of the first sticky topic.
So many people asking

I recently purchased the K+DCAN cable from bimmer software com for $40. They also offer a worldwide shipping option. The cable installed drivers automatically on both Windows 10 and Windows 7, and I have been able to use it in INPA, NCS Expert, Rheingold, etc without any issues

It is part of the first post... I'm not sure how much easier it can be, I even provided the link for the cable

I currently using INPA 5.0 version, it runs stable but it is German. I want to change to a English version but wonder do I have to redo the setup all over again? Looks like there's more than 1 version of INPA out there? My most important question is where can I get a stable Eng version of INPA.

Many THANKS

Check out this thread - I followed the steps exactly and my INPA 5.0 is in English. So far I have reset adaptations, read and clear codes, and registered a battery, which has all worked.

Sorry, I may be asking basic questions.

Ok, so I successfully coded folding/unfolding mirrors with the key fob and Comfort Access by setting SPIEGEL_KOMFORT_EINKLAPP to activ in NFRM and KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB to activ in CAS. It's my first time coding and it's pretty cool stuff. Super easy using NCS Dummy and NCS Expert as well.

Right now, the mirrors unfold immediately when I press the unlock button, and if I hold the button, the windows roll down followed by the sunroof opening.

When I press the lock button and hold it for about 0.5 seconds, the mirrors fold in, and if I hold the button, the windows roll up followed by the sunroof closing.

Also, if only the sunroof is open, then the mirrors fold in and the sunroof closes at the same time when I press the lock button.

I want to tweak the timing of everything though, so that it everything happens step-by-step, in sequence. Like so:

[press unlock button] mirrors unfold immediately
[hold unlock button] windows roll down after short delay
[hold unlock button] sunroof opens after short delay

[press lock button] mirrors fold immediately
[hold lock button] windows close after short delay
[hold lock button] sunroof closes after short delay

Is this possible? ANY help would be appreciated!

Hi Everyone. I'm new member on the forum and as well new to BMW coding. I'm more interested in programming/coding of BMW motorcycles. Does anyone have more experience in programming BMW motorcycles?
Can you diagnose and program BMW motorcycles with NCS Expert and what is the difference compared to ISTA/D and ISTA/P.

For BMW motorcycles, use ISTA/D for diagnostics and ISTA/P for programming. You will need an ICOM Next A with either an ICOM Next D (10-pin) or ICOM Next E interface (3-pin.)

ICOM Next A - P/N 81-31-2-360-883
ICOM Next D - P/N 81-31-2-360-886
ICOM Next E - P/N 81-74-2-209-801

Hope that helps.

I bought this cable, it arrived in about 2 days. I'm rather new to coding, but I had no issues getting this to work. It's not the cheapest option on eBay, but at roughly half the price of One-Stop cable, It's still a nice saving.
