265/30/19 or 255/35/19?
I am looking at new rear tyres.
I'm currently running Avon ZZ3 265/30/19's and want to get Avon ZZ5's next time round. They only make the ZZ5's in 255/35/19. Will these fit? I gather they are a slightly larger rolling radius. I'm also hoping a slightly higher sidewall will improve the ride - may be dreaming...

Yeah I guess it is only 2-3% if that. I am wondering myself whether tyres with a bit more profile on them would be better. 255/30 is pretty ridiculous really

Absolutely. I am running 225/40/19 and 255/35/19. I like it, but then I haven't experienced the stock tyres...the car came with these tyres on.

Hi,
I was asking my self the same questions when i was deciding to increase to a 265 from a 255. I went from Bridgestone (255 30 19) run flats to michelin pilot sports (265 30 19) The diffrence was incredible. But anyway here is a online tool I used to compare the different tyre sizes and how much your speedo will be out at a given speed. http://tire-size-conversion.com/tire-size-comparison/ Hope it helps ShaQ Last edited by Shaq; 07-31-2013 at 05:48 PM.. Surely most of your difference was due to not using run-flat rather than the size change? Adding 10mm width only adds 3mm to the sidewall. Going 255/35/ adds a full 13mm! Useful link though

cool. could you get some more just of the tyres and clearances. I may do this when I replace mine, really would like a bit more sidewall, the roads are so bad these days it can't be a bad thing.

Not at the moment I'm afraid - I've got 313 reps on while the 225s are being straightened.
