I got my E90 320D 163 bhp remapped a couple of weeks ago, after the rolling road test mine was only actually running 149 bhp. The remap company said they had come across this before, apparently BMW release a load of detuned versions with lower emissions and bhp to market so company car users could pay less tax.

So i went from 149 bhp to 201 bhp, and 235 ft/lb of torque to 309 ft/lb of torque, and the difference is massive, i haven't had chance to test the economy properly yet as we have had nothing but ice and snow since i have had it done, its just cleared yesterday so i will get a better chance to test it properly now.

It's definitely worth getting done as it gives the car a new lease of life.

Sorry to say no car will hit spot on BHP as shown in the papers.

You have to considered

*The rolling road accuracy , which some are know to read more.

*How rich your fuel is?

*general health of the car

*air temperature

* and how much did the computer configure the drive tran lost percentage etc etc

My car rolled 309BHP one mid summer afternoon stock.

I did my e91 320d msport and the difference is amazing. Talk to imran at Evolve, they were really good. I also get an mpg increase with it. Sitting on 59mpg most of the time albeit with lots of long cruises.
