Rotors at 68k miles?

I do a lot of city driving, and the OBD tells me front brakes are due in 2000 miles. Normal?

Are they original? If so, it's amazing you've made it that far!

75k (328i) I'm going to replace front rotors/pads (I believe the rotors are being changed for the first time).
Where are you getting the job done? did you check the price?

Typical mileage to need brake service. You can get all parts for $500-600 and DIY is very doable even with low experience.

Oddly enough, I have almost 86K on my car and my front pads are reading 20K and rear are reading 40K. But the rotors are warped. So yes, it's normal to change the rotors at that mileage... Also, if you don't know how to jack up a car, don't try to change your brake pads and rotors. Too dangerous for others.

out of curiosity what’s the name of the family business? Drop me a PM if you’re in the area, wouldn’t mind taking a look @ the Aero Lip, discuss the tire / suspension set-up if it’s not stock. I'm throwing around the idea of replacing w/ Bilsteins or coil overs + plus getting a set of Non RFT. I'm also considering trading it in and getting an F30 (just need to find 1 w/ a manual trans, sports, premium & cold weather).
