Evening guys! Has anyone here with DCT upgraded their clutch? I believe I'm seeing signs of slippage… at first I attributed the slippage to the DME not seeing true TQ values but after a back-end flash the problem still exists. At just 16k miles

If it helps to know I am FBO, with RB turbos, and run a 50/50 e85 mix.

Which flash are you using? I've also heard that the DME needs to see true torque for it to work right.

Procede rev3 v5. I brought this up to Shiv@Vishnu, which is when he suggested the back-end flash… saying it'd correct the true torque values.

I'm making about 430whp and I'm starting to get slippage. I notice it starts to slip as the oil temps are at the average 250 then pushed hard at that temp n the tranny trips. I also notice that when I don't use the sports mode it manage to get in gear better but it doesn't get in gear as fast as sports mode on which tightens the shift n make them shift way faster but it seems to be a lot of stress on the tranny. FBO+Cobb Protuned 100octane DCT tranny at 67,700 miles now.

I am running 235/40 front and 265/35 rear on stock 18 313.. Tires are Contis DWS winter set up. 265 with 15mm rear spacer had slight rubbing in the rear, with spacer removed it is not an issue. Rubbage had to do with narrow rear rim and tire bulging out on both sides. No rubbage with 9.5 wide rim and more aggressive offset.

Painted up the calipers today

So I finally decided I had enough of the shitty looking oxidized calipers on the car. Ordered up some G2 in black and brought the car to my shop. Being a metal fabricator I had all the tools you could possibly want to make the calipers nice and pretty prior to painting.

After I started to clean them up I decided to remove the rattle clips and spray them up with some Dupli Caliper Silver and add an "M" logo (some may disagree with the sticker but since the door sills have the "M" I figured what the hell.)

MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT!!!!

Nice. I've been thinking about doing the same thing - exact same look with ///M logo as well.

Thank for the info...assume the rub was on the fender lip? Haven't found car yet so not sure if will have 18s or 19s but nice to know the 265s fit with 18s. Have any pictures and assume on stock suspension?

Thanks.

Worked well for me. Over time the streaks in the tint get worse until you can't stand it anymore and it looks like shit.

How to debadge car

I've seen several cars where the 335is side badges were removed and I think it looks neat. What is the best way to remove? By the way, the letter "s" came off my car. Where can i get a replacement? I may paint badges black. Also how do you reattach the badges after painting? Also how to remove yellow side reflector markers and replace with body color?

I think the side badges are a bit much but it is original and what sets the IS apart so I am keeping them. In fact I want the car to stay original as possible as it is a unique low production car. At least this is my opinion. I think the black badges look cool. I see some have plastidipped them. Not sure how that goes.

Excellent question. I am debating the Cobb V2 or V3. If the V3 upgrade is only cosmetic with the gauges then I was considering the V2 and then going with a P3cars vent gauge.

Be interesting to see the comments from other IS owners.
