Question about PCD

The wife and I will be taking PCD on Nov. 26th. For all you that have already gone through the process I have a question about the track time. Were you by yourself or was someone from the center with you during your drives?

Most of it you are by yourself (wife in the passenger seat). Then they will always do a driver swap and do the same things so she can drive. When this happens, there is a radio in the car that allows the instructor to tell you what to do.

Other times, the instructor is in the right hand seat with you. It's a mix. I don't want to tell you too much specifics unless you want them, but you will LOVE it. I am not a big "driver" but had a really great time. Unlike anything I've done in my LIFE!

There are three segments: 1. Slalom course, 2. Avoidance braking & manuver, 3. Skid pad - DSC/DTC off and on. The instructor is on the ground talking to you by radio (one way) for the first two. He is in the car with you for the third.

They also let you drive off-road on their off-road course in an X5.

I think the X5 off road drive is only being offered while the factory tour is closed. I did the factory tour and it was interesting but I'm sure driving off road is more fun.

Hot lap with Donnie was one of my favorite part of PCD. M5 rocks with 500 hp! I didn't get a chance to watch Donnie's hands and feet...I was too busy laughing!
