335i Downpipe's
I'm trying to identify what options there are in terms of DP's for our RHD vehicles. I believe the only DP's that are a direct fit on RHD vehicles are AR design. Is this correct?
AR design ones cost around £600 new and getting hold of 2nd hand ones isnt easy. Im trying to see what other options I have and i have a few questions to ask; - I believe the reason why many DP's dont fit RHD vehicles is because the 02 sensors do not have enough clearance. Is this correct for both DP's or is it just one that does not fit? - Ive seen conflicting stories as some say that the existing bungs need to be relocated and some say that you can stick a bolt in the bung and move/bend it slightly. Is this correct? - As Juiced Up Tuning have now closed, ill need to buy direct from USA so im looking at the VRSF and the BMS DP's as they are both less than $400. Has anyone got experiance of either? Thanks |

I believe Milltek do DPs, 800 fitted at AMD
Also I'm sure a chap on here (UK section) had Raceland DPs and I presume his car was RHD Then of course whatever Birds and Evolve offer must fit ok

I've bought 2 sets of AR DPs direct from AR in the past, both times no VAT or duty was charged as AR know what to put on the paperwork...
They do fit very well, i don't think the BMS ones are a proven RHD fit yet? |

Good news.Im awaiting a reply back from VRSF but at the moment these are looking like my first option. Quote:
Another possible option is to buy 2nd ones from the US as there are plenty in the classified sections. |

Have you read this thread http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=813158
I am in the market for downpipes, but I think I will only go for the AR design ones as they are the only ones on the market that are made for RHD. I just do not think it is worth the risk buying a set of downpipes that might fit, then run into problems, like the poor O/P of the thread above. AR might do a discount if more than one set is ordered. I am sure there are others on this forum looking for downpipes. |

I have seen that thread which is slightly concerning. Its also a surprise as VSRF have confirmed to me that there DP's are a 100% fit for RHD. Also there some positive reviews on the Aussie section who also have RHD vehicles.

Even AR downpipes aren't always 100%, I've had 2 sets. One uncatted, bought 2nd hand hand from a forum member and the other new catted from AR. I sold the uncatted ones on eBay and the chap that bought them had some problems with fitting. The AR catted ones also had fitting problems, took my local garage twice as long as predicted (we had agreed an upfront fee, so there was no reason why he would take longer than necessary).

We absolutely guarantee fitment on RHD and LHD models. Our new design offers more clearance than any other 3" DP I've personally installed and we have quite a few test samples in stock right now from a few different vendors.
You can refer to this review if you'd like some confirmation: |

Shipping to the UK depends on the postal code. I recommend adding these to your cart on our website and using the shipping calculator to calculate international shipping

The guys who fitted my AR dp's commented on how snugly they fit and how well made they are.
Darren Woods has them off again for the turbo swap last year too.
