Favor Needed

I want to get my wheels sent out and refinished over the winter at Ye Ole Wheelshop and need something to hold me over during that time.

Does anyone have a set of wheels and tires they can lend me for a few weeks? Doesn't much matter the specs on them, can be a summer or winter setup. I've got a sport package E92 with the staggered setup 18's.

I don't drive my car much (only weekends) so it's a gargage queen for the most part, thus not many miles will be put on the tires.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated and the nice fellow enthusiast will be compensated accordingly.

1. no one knows you
2. you're going to put mileage on their tires
3. you didn't detail the compensation (beer, Chipotle, etc.)
4. sh*t happens (accident, curb, etc)

just some thoughts....you asked.

hopefully there is a trusting soul that doesn't really care about his second set of wheels.

2. you're going to put mileage on their tires. I was using the assumption that someone would lend me their winter setup or wheels/tires that are spares and have been trashed anyways making it a nonissue.
3. you didn't detail the compensation (beer, Chipotle, etc.)-This depends entirely on how long I borrow them for and what the person likes, I'm a reasonable and fair guy so this won't be a problem. Again, see 1.
4. sh*t happens (accident, curb, etc)-True, that's why I made sure to mention garage queen in the OP and 2. also covers this.

True, I did ask. Looking more for someone to step up and help out, but I'll bite and address your comments anyways. See above.

Hah, my summer wheels (230s) are at the same place for the same reason say hi to them if you get up there before I do.

If they get mine done before you're ready to send yours off, maybe we can work something out. I did tell Dan that there was no rush on them however as I wasn't planning on using them again before March (as I do have a winter set.)

I'd help you out if I had a set. Thats why I use this forum.
Can you just put it on jack stands for those few weeks while your wheels get done?
I can lend you a floor jack and 4 stands.
Let me know.

Actually I'm in Sterling, so if you can convince YOWS that they'll get more business if they finish my 230s quickly... I dunno that they've even started on them though, I just had Tire Rack ship them new valve stems last week

Thanks for the offer, however I picked up a set of 335i non-sport package wheels this morning so I'm very happy.

My wheels will be sent off to YOWS soon and my plan can now move forward.

Glad you're taken care of, serious. I'd've offered you my summers, but one of the rears had a bubble that I'm not really comfortable letting anyone else drive on. I don't mind risking my own vehicle, but its just not cool for others.

Thread jack time: I've seen a lot of feedback for YOWS, and whenever anyone asks for a shop to do bbs wheels in diamond black they are the first recommendation, BUT I have never seen anyone actually say that they had their diamond black wheels don't there and they came out perfectly. Anyone with feedback?
