Was quoted on a KW V1 install...

So, Ive been calling around to get a quote on the install for my KW V1's. Best price ive gotten so far is $350.

Is that reasonable? What did you guys pay for your installs?

That's cheap. I'm assuming alignment is extra?

Just make absolutely sure the shop is reputable and familiar with late model BMWs. There are too many horror stories here.

I'm sure $350 is about half of what the dealer would charge, but it's far from cheap. LTMW, for example, installs coilovers for $250.

+1. Usually would run you around that price. I paid $250 and it was around a 4-5 hour job.

So its prob recommended to stay away from places like Tires Plus, Discount Tire, Firestone.. Etc..?

Anyone around the Gwinnett area wanna chime in with installation places theyve been to? (I know I should post in regional)

I'd avoid them, I've had nothing but trouble with chain stores. Alignments tend to always be wrong, they have the lesser mechanics because a better shop won't hire them; and a lot of their equipment is tailored for normal vehicles. Your 335i with anything lower than sport suspension will have difficulty fitting on their alignment rack unless they have ramp extenders.

Cool, im prob going to take it to this local tuner shop who has alot of experience with german cars. Ive heard some good things about them so why not give it a shot. May be worth paying the extra bit.
