Good luck with the PPL i passed mine in a cessna 172 in 2004, no leather or sat nav though!

I'm from Eire, Helen! However, I have lived here so long (and my two children are British) that I am part of the furniture now. I was fine with being referred to as European...it was the rest of the chap's irrational, uneducated drivel that I was referring to.
