335i sedan for my new son! Please help me bring him home in style.

A little backstory...I've been driving the same jalopy for almost the past 10 years (Mitsubishi :[ dont ask) I am having a son in the next month and I don't want to bring him home in a musty smoke-filled hoopdy.

That being said, after getting a good job (I make arnd 90k gross), my next move is to get the ride to bring junior home in. After much reasearch, I had narrowed it down to between the MB C300, 328i, 335i, or the E350 Bluetec, no A4/S4 because it just seems effeminate to me.

The C300 lost out because with a carseat in the back there'd only be room for a watermelon with no legs back there. The E350 Bluetec is going to run me @ least $600/month on a 2 yr lease.

The 328i loses out cause "i wanna go fast! i wanna go fast!" so we're down to the 335i. One drawback I feel is the lack of exhaust note because for a fast fast car it doesn't make nearly enough noise but whaddayagonnado!?

So now that my story is out there, I need E90post nation to give me insight on any new discounts, rebates, sneaky deals et al to LEASE a 2012 335i with minimum out of pocket and the best monthly rate.

FYI I have good credit too, there was a 2011 Lexus IS250 i co-signed for my sister that is pumping up my credit score. Which brings my to my last point, when we bought that lexus I had driven my jalopy to the McKenna BMW in Downey, CA and the gentleman who received us, saw a family of colored skin (no I'm not African-American) and proceeded to give us the roughest, and I mean that literally, test drive I've ever dealt with. So I won't buy from there unless I make them grovel for my business or just take it elsewhere. Other than that, Please help!

PS I already submitted to be pre-approved as well so that should work to my advantage as well.

Thank you all for any help you can give.

Ooh also, I like the Alpine White with the red leather... As far as options are concerned it has to be decently loaded.

You can easily start out with the golf tee mod. (takes 30 seconds and it's free)

You'll want your exhaust note to be quiet if you want your newborn to be able to sleep anyways

Bmw's oem accessory exhaust (bmw performance) is one of the best sounding out there. And no matter which vehicle you choose, buy the recaro child seat. Two of my friends have it and its real cool

+1 on the BMW Performance Exhaust. I get nothing but compliments on it, and I like that the sound is non-invasive below 2500 RPMs.

I don't know any good deals but congrats on on the child you'll be having soon! Good choice on choosing a 335i but I'd go with a n54 motor over the n55 motor if you like going fast. The n54 with a simple $400 tune will be pushing over 350whp. The JB4 tune takes about 15-20 mins to install/uninstall and the dealer never has any idea due to the tuners code delete option If you don't plan to performance mod your 335 though, just go n55 and I'm sure you'll be satisfied.

Thumbs up

Congrats on the baby! I'm looking forward to welcoming our daughter into the world in December, and in fact selling my 335 as part of that plan... haha

Why not just lease a 535? It has enough room for the family, its quick, and extremely safe. Problem solved

First of all congratulations on your new son! Very exciting... I have 3 and we just had our 3rd on Aug 13th.

Next, STOP SMOKING in your car or better yet quit all together, esp now that you will be driving around with your son in your car! Now that I got that out of the way...

I drove the E350 (not the blue-tec) and I didn't care for it - it as a bit of a pig and tended to squat more than I like under acceleration. If you are considering a diesel you should also consider the 335d (diesel). Some dealers still have them on the lots so your dealer might be able to source one for you and can probably get a pretty good deal on a new one. It's fast, has LOTS of torque and is very fuel efficient. Alternatively the e90 335 will fit the bill or as mentioned above the 535.

I can fit my 2 young kids and rear facing baby seat in the back of my 335d without to much of an issue. If we only had a baby seat to deal with it would def be doable as the daily family hauler.

thanx everyone for the well wishes!

I got in contact with a couple of dealerships but so far nobody wants to really give me a price. I got McKenna to call me because i filled out their credit app (good news i'm a tier1 yee!) but the price she gave me was $55450 + t&l which was the alpine white with the red leather and black stitching with the Sport Pckg, Prem Pckg(I think), pretty much their showroom floor model.

Anybody got dealership suggestions in LA? I'm right in between LA and OC and I work in the OC.

Again, thank all you guys for all the positivity.

Long Beach BMW always has great deals, my dad bought his X5 from there and the deal was nice. I don't know if they'll have what you're looking for but it's worth a shot and congrats on the baby. As for the tone of the exhaust, you can never go wrong with Remus, it isn't too loud or too quiet as far as I've seen on 330s and 328s, you might want to check out a sound clip on 335s. Just right well, at least for me. But that would mean switching to quad exhaust with I think looks amazing on 335's seeing the distance between the dual exhaust (not too close like m3 quads and not too far apart like aftermarket quads on a 328) and getting a new diffusor if your 335 comes with it (I hope it does because you mentioned it being a show room floor model) And if that's not enough you can get a resonator delete (I don't recommend because the drone would probably bother the baby). Hmm you can also do intake to make the front end louder. That's all I got Whatever you decide to get, even if it's a 535 (we plan on getting that ourselves) which I too recommend just because I feel I would need more room if I had a kid in the car, be sure to post it up on the forum, can't wait to see it! And make sure to tint the windows and get sunshades if needed for the kid!

Go with the 335i they will look timeless like the e46 body style. Benz will just become an old piece of crap
