Beats me how anyone can justify winter tyres, in the 3 years i have owned my mapped 335d, only once did i give up on it spinning away on driveway in snow...other than that, no issues. People are being just a little over protective of their cars, talking about average air temperature to justify the winter that never was, Lol. 6 months of the year wasted with your car looking shite on shite wheels... And now i'll get a barrage of abuse and a lecture on stopping distance and such like bollox!

Steels can make a car look a car pretty badass, fit for purpose. It's obvious it's on winter wheels, personally prefer it to just some smaller alloys that just look like you have bad wheels.

We both win.
We both have our cars how we want them The 17" msport 194's are my favourite oem style of wheel. I prefer the style to mv3's for example. Its just unfortunate they are 17's. I think if they were 18's they would look perfect. |

I hear yeah. It is to do with the properties in the specific rubber compounds that are used.

I love my steel rims and plastic trims, to be honest I can't see the point of alloys whilst the uk drivers have to endure third world roads, allows would battered, plastic trims are £17 each. It wouldn't bother me if the next car had summer tyres on steel wheels, I'm getting old!
