Angel Lights
I recently test drove an E92 on a 56 plate during late evening when itwas dark. On remotely unlocking the car both the angel lights and rear lights came on. I have an 07 E90 330d m sport and wandered if this option was available in the settings menu as it really added to the appearance of the car at night?. I do not have I drive

I think you need to have the headlight switch set to auto, then the rings will come on when you unlock the car.

I have actually just put my lights switch back to switch position 0 as I thought the auto headlights were activating just too often recently.

I had that after I picked up the car and so I took it back to the dealer to get them to lower the sensitivity of when they come on.

Yes boss, question answered - on my car if the lights are set to auto, the welcome lights (sidelights) come on when you unlock.

Thanks for your input but unfortunately for me when I leave the light switch to auto and unlock the car both in daylight and at night the angel rings don't come on! This may just be particular to the E92 as that was the car I initially saw it on! Any other E90 users managed to get this to work??

Maybe its a software thing (newer software has this feature). It doesn't make any difference if its dark or light - they always come on when light switch set at auto. The owners manual calls it the "welcome lights".
