Question E90 Windscreen Washer Pump - Is this the right part?

Hey guys,

I've a feeling my windscreen washer pump has gone and as it takes so much effort to get at the associated area to check it out I'm going to grab a replacement pump whilst I'm at it just in case its knackered.

Have tried to source this part locally but they can't get it so I've been looking on Ebay and found this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-3-Seri...item2563500736

Just for confirmation as some of you may have seen this, is this the correct part for an E90?

Thanks!

Looks the right part to me but I'm sure others can confirm.

Make sure the little filter isn't clogged as that is a common issue. It isn't too hard a job to get in there, done it twice myself in the last week. First time 90mins, second time 60 mins.

Thanks mate, yeah it could just be clogged but if it isn't I don't want to have to put it all back together again (arch, wheel etc) and have to redo for adding in a new part, figured it would be a good idea to have it handy.

I just need to take off the wheel, arch and then I can get access right?

Wouldn't remove the filter, yes it will work but could clog up again as large lumps could then reach your pump.

If your pump is making a noise then its likely just the filter clogged, if no noise then the pump is gone more than likely.

Yes remove wheel, remove rear part of the arch liner, probably about 10 screws and bolts. One bolt frees up the bottle to slip forward and the bottle can be easily accessed. Have a bucket ready as there is lots of water. There are 2 pumps and filters, one for headlight washers and one for windscreen, worth cleaning them both when you are there although likely the headlight one won't be too bad. Neither of mine looked severly clogged up but after cleaning have a lovely strong squirt now.

And I filled with BMW screenwash to allegedly avoid the issue reoccuring.
