**JB4 Mobile App Video**

**I just posted this over in the N54 section as well, but thought the N55 dudes would appreciate it as well...

As a labor of love for a fellow forum member, I helped create a short 30 second intro clip for dmacpro91; a dude who has made the dreams for many of us JB4 tuned, tech geeks come true by creating the JB4 Mobile App.

Those not familiar, dmacpro91 created the JB4 Bluetooth connect kit and developed the JB4 Mobile App for iOS and Android devices which allows for real time display on your mobile device to monitor, log, and adjust over 50 different settings for JB4 tuned N54/N55 engines (ie: change maps on the fly, read/clear codes, adjust meth settings, waste gate adaptation, 1st/2nd gear boost limitation, and much, much more). I remember back 7-8 years ago when I was big into the Audi tuning scene, and THIS was the kind of tech that I dreamed about. Anyways, hats off to dmacpro91 for a killer job developing/designing this app.

Enjoy!

Thanks! And if you're a tech geek who loves tinkering, you won't be disappointed

Can I use this app to make my jb4 iso? For smoother acceleration, if that's what ISO does. I'm planning on buying this app.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the iOS bluetooth adapter will work with android as well. You can ask dmacpro about it.

Contact dmacpro over at n54tech for availability. I think he recently got a new shipment in with parts so it should be back in stock soon.

Again very cool idea but $118 for a USB and $27 for the app, so, $145 total? Just letting these folks know that you don't just buy an app and it works there are more things involved than just a $27 dollar app.

Again cool vid though, you guys should def add the cord in the vid as well

True but IMO it's well worth it. On the fly data logging without a laptop, directly emailing logs, updating via 3G/LTE instead of being in the garage trying to get wifi, and tuning wirelessly via iPhone instead of trying to hold a laptop in the passenger seat attached to the cable from the glove box. This has made tuning much easier

Totally agree in part. Do you have to break through any firewalls in your vehicle?

Nope, in the DME box you can fish the cable through an existing hole into the cabin then into the glove box. I used a coat hanger

I didn't spend $145. I think the kit is worth every bit of that but since it is backorder for a couple months I found a different method that works great!

I bought the Cable from BMS ($30.00) then I bought a Male to Female USB cable from Amazon ($4.99), USB to Micro USB from Amazon ($1.99), then finally the app ($27). So Roughly $65 plus the windshield mount and I was up and running.

I have an old Android phone so I just leave it hooked up all the time but I think when the bluetooth kit comes back into stock I will purchase that and get rid of the annoying wire running from the glovebox to my windshield.

I got it to work without that cable but it wont be bluetooth, you have to have it hard wired to your phone or tablet.
