Ultimate Racing Exhaust being put on right now..

I will let you guys know what my impressions are..hope its not too loud...or have any annoying resonance patterns. I feel like I am on the bleeding edge right now.

wow those exhaust tips are really close to the top of the cut outs... hope that won't melt the rear bumper!

OK, this is strange. I have the UR exhaust being installed on my e90 in Belmont at this very moment. I’ll be picking it up at noon, how about you? If you don’t mind me asking, what are you paying for the install?

Not so far (knock on wood) and I put small pieces of rubber tubing to make sure the tips don't touch the bumper...

Mine sounds very very nice...thumbs up to Ultimate Racing. Not too loud..not too mellow...definitely sounds modified...in a good way. I am very happy with my purchase...

BTW, I am not close to the bumper like those other pictures show...I have more room between the exhaust..and the bumper bottom.

Oh yeah...and I think it must added at least 1,000 bhp to the car..I can definitely take Veyrons now...

Ah..I get special pricing from them..since I go to them so much..and refer people to them...but I think you might be able to get it done for about $200 or so..not sure..they are BTM Motorworks in Campbell on Bascom Ave at Hamilton ave (right off the 880 freeway). Call Brad at 408-369-1911 for a quote.

The exhaust system is from the primary cats back right?

I found it rather quite from the outside, nice and subtle. How is your on the inside? I found a lot of resonance in the cabin between 1500 and 2500 rpm. Any ideas on how to fix that?

I only went around with the windows down......I will have to double check the resonance issue ...as mine didnt have any thing that initially bothered me.

I drove it around some more and I figured it’s just part of the overall effect. I find at idle it’s deeper and almost quieter then stock, but when taking off it growls. Cruising around sounds and feels like you’re in a V8. My wife and I will be driving it around this weekend giving it a check out. Since we both use the car it’s a balancing act, it may be too aggressive sounding for her taste.

I observed the same thing between 1800-2200...at first it was a leak and upon fixing it, it then quieted it down a bit, but for the most part the sound is still there at that range.
