How many miles out of set??
Just interested to see what you get out of a set of RFT tyres?
Not sure what I'm doing but I've had my car from new, its covered 95k (mainly motoway miles) now and its just about time to change my rears for the second time.....that has to be some sort of record?? 45K (ish) out of a set of Bridgestone RFT's. I know there is a whole load of thoughts on RFT's, I know there are expensive but I've never had tyres last this long before....maybe I'm getting older with a ligher right foot as well. |

Obviously it depends hugely on how you drive and what sort of driving you do. My rears have been lasting 10-15k with the fronts at 20k ish. Your's must be some kind of record though!

Bridgestone Potenza RFT (225/45 R17) on the rear of my touring were finished by 15K miles. Never had a tyre with such a low mileage in my life. Typically I'd get 20k on the rear of a BMW. Last set of Goodyear F1, non run-flat, gave me 20k on the rear, with about 3mm of tread left when I removed them. Current rear tyres are about 14k miles and 4.5mm tread depth.
Easy motorway miles are the answer, driving on hot rolled asphalt is much kinder than granite topping, we have on much of our Highland roads. I remember my father in law used to get over 50k from Michelin tyres, when he was driving the motorways as a technical rep. HighlandPete |

I tore out both front and rear RFT's (19's) in 12k. Annoying thing was there was a good 5mm of tread left on the centre and outer areas. Fucking pisstake is what it is.

15k on average for me for a complete set running 225/45/17 RFTs. Comparable to the Honda I used to have which obviously had conventional tyres.
