Got it thanks! But my ATR won't open it - error message "Unable to load map file, Invalid 'Base' map file. Please verify vehicle and vendor of map file.(5:1192)"

Ign map changes that are held in a different map that it references in addition to the ign map we tune and load?

With all the years of tuning standalone EMS's, I just don't see how this happens.

What I was referring to was adapting fuel trims because of change in fuel. I see high variance on STFT right after refueling but they go down as ECU learns. At least that is how I interpret it as it runs very well and STFT gets less active. I guess LTFT should show if it learning or not..right?

I haven't seen any evidence of adaptions on the timing side. Where the adaptions take place(that I know of) are in the the WGDCs and the fuel trims.

The WGDC PID system will adapt to the tune to an extent.

The LTFTs and STFTs also adapt. The STFTs are(as I understand it) an adder to the LTFTs. Your LTFTs may settle at x and your STFT will be on top of that. So, it's possible that your STFTs will be zero but your LTFTs will be maxxed at 34%. In that case you'll want to increase the fuel scalar value.

Just tried the E30 Map as I was in the only place anywhere near my house selling E85 this morning. (Newark Airport Gulf Station, $4/gal)

I logged the wrong info parameters but this was my first attempt at it, skimmed a thread in the gas station parking lot....

Car feels unbelievable to say the least. The few WOT runs I was able to get off on the NJ Turnpike were much more aggressive than the S2+ which I have been running for a few weeks now. Once I can get some logs recorded I will post them here, need to read up a bit more about that and also find some good, open stretches to test this sucker out.

What would I modify to change it to 16 peak down to 14 at 6000? If i reduce load I will just overshoot. what if I change the ceiling to 1.2 or a little less?

T
You reduce the load target. Then you'll log Boost setpoint factor and MAF req WGDC and then go into the WGDC base table and back it off a little where the overshoot occurs. Go in small increments, like multiply the current value by .9

A few timing corrections, but doesnt look too bad. I would do a few more logs to see if the timing corrections are consistently in the same area, if they are you shouldnt run the map unless you can back timing down a bit in those cells.

Looks like your Low pressure fuel pump is having trouble keeping up. How much ethanol are you running?

30% E85. The car feels as smooth as ever and pulls like a beast. I will try to do another log today or tomorrow.

As you may know, 30% E85 (4.8 gallons (16 gallon tank)) is about 32.5% Ethanol, based upon 10% Ethanol in premium pump gas.

so you are a bit exceeding the required ethanol, but would say is fine because you really don't know exactly how much ethanol, the premium could be 5%, 8% but not more than 10%.

what is your mixture? 93 or 91?

I am mixing 93 octane with E85. I put 5 gallons into my tank followed by filling up with 93 octane from Shell. 5 / 16.2 = 30.864%. I understand that 93 from shell contains "up to" 10% ethanol so maybe I have too much ethanol.

I assume that it is better to err on the side of too much ethanol versus too little, no?
