I was looking at LM70's. But not sure if I should get it.
Some what if they're max snow traction tires; not so much if they're performance winter tires. No LM70 I'm aware of; either winter performance LM60 or max snow WS70.
You don't get much accumulation in Chicago, do you? It's flat too. LM60 imo

Yeah I mean't WS70 lol sorry.

But oh okay. Last winter itself was pretty rough for me (and it was one of the most mild winters Chicago has had in years), as any time it snowed more than 2" my car was useless. But thats largely due to the run-flats.

You think the LM60's will fair well? I'd hope to get 3 or 4 winters out of it at least. I drive roughy 1500 miles per month.

Say 5 months out of the year = 7500 per year.

The LM60 is a very good choice for the Chicago area.

The LM60 is a harder rubber than the WS70? Is that it's only "performance" difference?

The LM60 has an aggressive tread pattern like a more aggressive studless ice and snow tire, but has a stiffer sidewall and tread compound of a performance winter tire.
