225/35/19 on 19x9.5 ??

hello there Ive been looking for tires for my wheels ( 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 ) I just came across a great deal four 4 tires but they are all 225/35/19 , I know there real wheels will be stretched but would it be too much stretching ? would it even fit and if so would it be too dangerous to drive the way it is? thanks in advance

You can probably look up the specific tires on tire rack for mfr. recommendations

I clicked Yokohamas of this size and it stats the max width is 9". I would imagine that you could stretch these to fit, but should you? I don't see why you would. It doesn't sound like you're of the "stretch and poke" type, and it would decrease your performance and safety. To me, that equals not worth whatever cash you're saving.

thanks ill check tirerack now, also i could probably get all 4 for $160 with about 80% tread left ,ive been doing some research seems like there are some people against it but there are no recorded incidents that i have seen where stretching the tires caused a problem .

edit:just read the rating they fit up to 19x9 wheels i think i could get away with putting them on 19x9.5

What are the offsets of your wheels? Sounds like you need 225F/255R or 235F/265R if they are average e9x offsets. Running a decent stretch when you don't need it for fitment issues will look retarded.

Out of range for manufacturer recommended sizes. Maybe its safe, maybe its not. You'll know if you crash 225 on a 9.5 wheel seems very stretched, I would not want to drive a car so equipped fearing for my life.

Now put that 9.5 et35 with 225/35 to your front wheel and buy 2 new 9.5 wide wheels to rear.
