well you can see from a roll the 335i is slightly quicker, hey guys you know what would be a better comparison than a jsb2 or procede car would just be a car with filter and catback, that would be a great rematch! far more fair since s4 doesn't have a tune and we all know what 335i's do with a tune...

yeah no one has really identified what that does to the car becuase it's way cheaper per hp to get a tune but maybe someone with sstt and catback and filter can clip out their sstt? this would be very interesting to me!

Yes, it's because he was stock... + Passenger + 3/4 Tank... 1st Gear would have been easy... and the car would have jumped hard on the S4...
Momentum is a bitch to make up... and starting in 2nd... always gave the 'momentum' to the S4 in these races. Dave

Where are you going after Friday? Coming out west by any chance?
Based on the video to me... your car did not seem any quicker than any other S4 I've run... if the driver is decent they can stay close... but they will get pulled from 50MPH on clearly... your car makes 290HP... mine stock makes 279RWHP... and weighs 3604... to your 3840! do the math... 10HP... and 200+ pounds... is not going to be your car in front... or any S4... send any and every on my way... I'm in the Phx area... and will race track, street, road course... what's your pleasure. But again... I believe you can shift well... and I believe the 17 year old could not. As I've posted many times... Most BMW drivers shouldn't even have 6 speed manuals!

Very similar in performance from what I saw.
I was right about the S4 pulling at high end because of the extra hp. Great runs!

Well, the runs that were a success, I see the two cars pretty even. Of course the Audi guy claims the air filter and exhaust don't make any power. I don't believe that. Most S4 don't dyno stock at 292whp. They dyno around 270-ish whp. So he makes about 20whp over stock + less rotational mass from the lightweight wheels.

I would do these races again on a more secluded road.. Its hard when your on a highway and cars are coming so you can't be stopped for to long and you have to break torque, look at the rpms, honk and then go.. And the whole time ur worried about cops.. But oh well I thought I did alright. Someone else with the jb2 or something should run him this week.. I would really like to see the difference.. We should really make this happen..

You suck at Driving.
oh well. 335 is way faster. Just to let you know how much faster. I raced a 2005+ ZCP M3 vs my 335 Coupe 6 speed manual. I killed the M3 by multiple car-lengths... here in WA.

I got wasted by an S4 like this avant. however the imola yellow sedan that beat my 335 pretty bad... I'm all stock, eagerly trying to decide what ecu I want to upgrade to. Now the Procede has a 1.48 version available. and the V1.47 with 2.03 =) I'm just gonna get the V1.47 and forget about it. Upgrade to the V2.03 drive around with the mapping at 100%

It would be my pleasure to destroy B18 but I get back in town on Sunday.
I will have catless DP, exhaust cutouts with external wastegates, JB2H, and VIP Tuning CAI.....not sure if that S4 is going to even be able to read my 335 badge he'll be disappearing so quickly. I raced a silver S4 murdered out (dark tint) with exhaust only and I walked him so hard he didn't know what hit him. I think that was with JB2 and catback exhaust only. Too bad I'm in on Sunday and I am having my cutouts/wastegates installed as soon as I get home. Nice runs, but the OP needs to become a little more familiar with the AT. |

BTW.. All you in South Florida. I will be trying to set up a Dyno day at USP Motorsports either in the middle of January or the end of January. Trying to get 10-15 people there. Can make it an all day thing with BBQ and what not. I will be making an official post with all the details in the S.FL section but shoot me a PM if you are interested. |
