You can track ALL day there are no groups as there are only about 30 drivers total. All experienced. O beginners allowed and passing will be explained that day and where.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

sounds like an awesome event. $600 is not too bad considering how much track time you can probably get out of it. why didnt you sign up ?

Doesn't have a track ready car. The Germans are probably still assembling the M and the S4 shoes aren't any good for the track.

By the way this may be worthwhile doing. Costs about 14k to rent for a day.

28 people = $500 with unlimited track time.

Just need to make sure everyone ha track experience at Tremblant.

First of three days at Calabogie. Seen lots of track friends. 6 sessions of 25 minutes. I am very tired now. I also changed my brake pads at the end of the day.

There is a group of 3 Porsche GT3RS from Florida. A whole number of people from Nova Scotia and the usual New Yorkers with their omnipresent American flags.

Great day with no trouble.

I would love to get 28 of us together ... Open track the whole day. Easily get in 5-6 hours of track time. Did that twice with 3Balls at CMP.

3 days of Calabogie.

First day was plentyfull with 2 - 25min and 2 - 50min sessions.
On Saturday and Sunday, we had 4 sessions of 25min each day.

Trouble is, on Sunday, the A - students had a 4 hour break for lunch. Plenty of cars on track at that time since there was a Club Race going on.

It gave me the opportunity to quit early and skip the last 2 sessions.... go play cards and drink cocktails by the pool at my aunt's place.

The weather was great, hot but not too humid. Lots of horsepower. With all those Corvettes and Porsches. I held my own in my group... as it is now become the norm, I am quicker than most on the first day, and then the others get better and it becomes more fun with a lot of cars lapping in the same times... I should have a video up soon with all the traffic.

New brakes held up good (DTC60). Changing brake pads is a cinch for me now.

Met a fellow tracker with an M Coupe with a half cage and racing seats. Tried the seat and apart from my shoulders not being comfortable (too tight), it was good. He gave me a few tips on installation and location of Airbag module.

The cage does not create any ugly cuts or holes that could ruin the appearence of the interior.

What is the benefit of having race seats and roll cage, without stripping the car? I think weight wise you may not be further ahead, but it will fix your moving around in the cabin problem

Bingo!

Plus the advantage of using a proper HANS device and the added rigidity in case of an accident...

I'm curious about the DTC60 and how they are different (same, better, worse) the HT10. I'm happy to hear that you had some fun. The upcoming long range predictions for Watkins Glen event should be sunny and warm.

I found that proper seats and restraints it helped me shave off 2 seconds. And like Tonybest mentions, HANS support with better crash durability.

TonyB, this makes for a perfect October/Nov project, just in time for winter storage.

So with this video I've noticed I have chopped 5 secs off my last year's best recorded time.

The Blue M Coupe I keep up with is an Instructor from PA with the racing seats and roll cage I want.

Nice

So you're doing 2:25's there now?

You should change location of camera. Can barely see anything outside of your car.

I know I can go under 2.30 on most of my laps. As for 2.25.. I might but I don't record all my laps because of the cost of quality film these days.

My new GoPro is bad to see outside the car through windshield. The old one worked better. I will adjust next time.

These are some cool times. I see how I can do 2:25 in theory, but never done that in practice. Are you on street tires or R-comps?
