I probably won't install them right away but I will take a few unboxing pics when they come in.

Guys,

Apologize I haven't been on here often. Work and the M3 have been keeping me busy.

Gary recently had some health issues, so I'll give them a call and try to re light the fire.

Thanks for your patience!

Nice! I want some adjustable coilovers and was contemplating between these and Sonic Tuning coilovers. Hope to have reviews coming in soon!

that is interesting they were able to design a kit that allow this range in front for Xi cars..?

how is the 2-2.5" achieved..? is it solely via threading down the strut..?

cause this kit seems to also have preload/compression adjustment on the front struts.. adding compression is the only way I see to get to 2" let alone beyond that..

the fronts are virtually identical to the SonicTuning S1 kit. which have a max range in front of 1.5"

I came in under MSRP including shipping and radial bearing mounts.

got mine on last weekend. I only did the fronts as I already had a tc kline kit. I'm loving it so far with the swift springs. You will need a different strut bar though because the oem 335 strut bar hits the rebound adjusters.

I was wondering about that. Thanks for the info. I guess its time for the M3 or maybe the AA bar.

Does it go as low in the front as FA claims?

Yes, it goes as low as they say. I have it set at the lowest possible ride height. I'm on 17s now and I only have about 1 finger gap. 18s would probably tuck. Whats great is that the compression travel isn't affected by ride height. TC Kline front struts couldn't go this low without bottoming out over every other bump because they adjust ride height via spring compression.

ok so whats the solution for the strut brace..?
as Raptor001 mentions above.. strut brace does not clear the adjuster knobs..
and I also spoke with Chris at FA.. I thought maybe could just remove the knobs after desired dampening is achieved, and then screw back brace.. but Chris confirms that the brace will still not clear cause the nut from the strut still pokes up too high.

this is due to their design to get the lowest range possible in front on Xi cars.. if they allowed the knobs to clear the brace, it woud give up .5-.75" of range in front.

so I guess this is a good thing.. but at the same time im not too keen to have to buy a new brace, neither to drive without one at all..??

so what are the solutions here..brands/Part#'s etc... JC335xi above mentioned M3 works..?

Do you have any pics of your car? I think I speak for most when I say we wanna 'see' how low these will let the xi go. I'm waiting to see pics of peoples cars on either these, or the sonictuning coilovers, before I spend money on coils at all. I wanna be able to slam my car, and i'll probably just go the bags route, if neither will allow me to.

I'll get some pics later. I can tell you that it won't let you slam it. Bags are going to be your best route to slam the xi.

I kinda figured. FA has a really good rep of getting e36's and e46's really low, so I was hoping maybe these would be different. Bummer

The xDrive is the problem, which is a pity since Audi's don't have this problem. =[
