Hi all. Have been trolling for a few weeks and just registered. I learned today that my official status has gone from "Scheduled for Production" to "Awaiting Transport"

Ordered a 330i with Steptronic, Sport Package and Heated Seats - Titanium over Terra with aluminum trim.

Wondering how long your wait has been to delivery form this point in the order process ("Awaiting Transport").

TIA. Looking forward to being a regular contributor as I was on Audi World. Just getting out of a 2003 A6 2.7T lease. This was my 2nd C5, as I have needed the space and 4WD capabilities up until a few months ago when I purchased a new CRV for when I need the room and to drive during the snowy winter days.

took me 2 months to get mine from time of order. not sure about awaiting transport. i was told 4 week for the buid and 4 weeks for the transport.

Welcome Frank! Congrats on your new baby. The estimate of "about a month" is right. Yours will obviously be arriving at the port of New York, so it will be on the water for about 3 weeks. Figure at least a week to get to and thru the VPC and another day or three to get to your dealer.

BTW, you should say "lurking" instead of "trolling".

Mine has been on order for about 4 and a 1/2 weeks. Still no news on a delivery date!

Welcome. As you may have surmised, the BMWUSA.com website doesn't update as quickly as the info provided to the dealerships or BMW, N.A.. At this point, peruse the threads in the New Car Ordering section,

particularly the Ultimate Order Tracking Guide! With a little homework and resourcefulness, you can figure out what ship your car will be placed on, by comparing what your SA is telling you and the ship at port departures. You'll then have a better idea of ETA by tracking the ship schedule.

I am waiting fro my car to go through VPC. It's been there since last Friday. I harassed my dealer today to try to get the car for the weekend. It's supposed to be nice out.
Since I ordered the car, it's been a month and 4 days.
