Roof Trim Paint Job/Touch Up DIY e90

Hey y'all,

I recently purchased a Jet Black 2007 328i e90 Sedan and I got it for a great price. Problem was, the reason I got such a good deal is because it had a handful of very minor cosmetic issues that I have been dealing with 1 by 1.

I have already touched up the interior center console which had all sorts of paint chip issues and now I have arrived at the roof trim.

The roof trim is supposed to be flat black, but it had worn down to the point that you could see the steel under the paint coming through.

It was very bad on the drivers side and only a few small chips on the passenger side.

Either way, it was time to fix this problem. Here is the DIY, with pictures.

I have a Jet Black 3-Series and I used "Dyna-color "Perfect Match" Spray Paint" from Autozone. The paint was $6.99 combined with some Blue Painters Tape for $2.99, we are talking about $10 for the job.

The color came out pretty good...

Hope this helps someone out there!!!

Here are some pics before I started:

Let me know if you have any questions, I think it came out pretty good for $10 bucks!
