Cars and Coffee Irvine,CA 6/14/14
As some of you may have noticed (via this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=988387), my wife and I recently traveled to the Laguna Beach area. Being a big fan of the show "Chasing Classic Cars", it was there that I had first heard about the Cars and Coffee Irvine show. How it was one of the biggest around and was essentially where the Cars and Coffee name started. So I made it a point to check it out during my trip.
And boy, I was not disappointed. Even my wife, who isn't big into cars, had a blast and loved "oohing" and "aahhing" at the various cars that were present. Here is just a small sample of what was there that day. Enjoy!

Looked like a nice turnout. I've seen that FT-1 at the NY car show and its beautiful. That thing is gonna be a problem when it hits the market.

This is where California car culture dominates. I only know of one C&C in Tokyo and last time it rained out, while previous month they didn't even have the coffee. I wish we had something like this...
The most amazing part is how mainstream it is. It's held at Mazda's HQ and is supported by all makers (they even bring concept cars!!). If you are in Irvine, and you don't know where it is, just look at Google maps, because it's actually marked "Cars n Coffee!" It was covered on Speedhunters too: http://www.speedhunters.com/2014/06/...d-coffee-ever/ |

thank you for sharing all those pics.. Don't know which is my favorite, but I have to say the modern sports cars have nothing on those classics and modern classics :S

This thing stole the spotlight. Clearly had the biggest crowd from the beginning until the end of the show. They were even letting people sit inside, which was pretty cool.
So, so many. A bunch of spectator cars were nice enough to have been in the show, as well. It was cool walking through the parking garage. Oh yeah? I was under the impression each show was like this. Regardless, definitely coming back the next time I'm out West. You bet! I would have taken more, but my head was on a swivel just trying to get a visual of all the cars that were there. As fast as they showed up, they left. Cars in and out the entire time. Quote:

Agreed!! You bet! Quote:
And I agree. Wish we had something like this on the East Coast. They do have Cars and Coffee, but the place it's held at is an hour away and it's only once a month or so. Would love something more local, on a weekly basis. Might try getting this going on my own, calling around to local businesses and finding a good spot. We'll see. Welcome!

Isn't it?! Sooo sexy. So clean.
You and just about everyone else at the show. Myself, included. Such a badass car.
