XI Exhaust R&D?
So I know the topic has been discussed day in and day out, but with Tiago@VSRF confirming an upcoming XI downpipe mod in the near future, I figured I'd ask around.
To date, only the AE and BMW PE are options when it comes to the XI cars. Has anyone had any contact with manufacturers to say that they are doing any R&D on the XI to make another exhaust? It's just a little unfortunate that the only exhaust systems for our car are pretty pricey. I would love an AE, but it's hard to justify the price. BMW PE sounds good too, but no real gains. I would have settled with a Vanguard exhaust but they don't make them! So... anyone?

MagnaFlow makes an exhaust setup for XI that sounds good - replaces same items as the BMW PE exhaust & can be found on eBay for around $836

Thanks for your help. Considering MagnaFlow, does anyone know the performance gains this exhaust gets? And how is the cabin drone? I would be inclined to get this if I knew these answers.

I believe the hks catback exhaust will fit as well. It also seems to provide the most power, if I remember correctly.

I plan only to install the downpipes and keep the rest stock - apparently a nice increase in power, slight sound increase and no drone |

I'd say PM Tiago if you're really interested. There is a thread about it somewhere, but they should have their first batch ready by mid-summer is my guess. If they are priced like the i models (~$350) I'm sure they'll get plenty of orders considering CP-E ($500+) and AR ($900) are the only other makers.

Oh man if is the same price ad the I model then I can't wait for it to come out. But if anything, they should be cheaper since they can't be 3 inch. Less material less cost rite? lol

I'm guessing you have this set up for the N55. I think most of us is talking about the N54.
